World-renowned folk art and abstract artist, Karla Gerard, was born in 1957 in Waterville, ME USA, Karla is self-taught and has been painting since her teenage years with great passion and dedication. She has been selling her paintings for more than 15 years, offering her original paintings and rug hook paper patterns. Karla’s passion is painting unique colorful folk art abstract patterned landscapes with trees, birds, sheep, cats, and flowers in acrylics and some mixed media on canvas. Karla has been a tremendous source of inspiration to many upcoming artists. The artists who feel like they want to give up on art usually get back into the business after viewing her work and hearing her story.

Looking at her works, it's hard to believe that she is a self-taught artist.
